NEINVER presents its four new projects at MAPIC, totalling 86,000 sqm of GLA

13 November 2013 – NEINVER, the second-largest operator of outlet centres in Europe, has announced the Company’s future projects at MAPIC, the main international retail property market event. These pipeline properties were planned in line with NEINVER’s business strategy, based on the Group’s continual expansion in the European outlet sector by entering new markets and consolidating its leadership in countries where it already operates. In fact, the four pipeline outlet centres will add 86,000 sqm of gross leasable area to the 311,600 sqm of GLA already managed by the Group in this sector across Europe.

The projects that were announced at MAPIC will bolster NEINVER’s portfolio in Spain, Germany and Portugal, while expanding its activity into the Group’s seventh country: The Netherlands. In this regard, NEINVER and MAB plan to co-develop Amsterdam The Style Outlets. This future centre will contain retail space totalling 18,000 sqm of GLA with 100 stores, plus a 1,000 sqm leisure area with restaurants and services. The outlet centre can be reached easily from the A200 via the N200, and the Amsterdam-Haarlem train will have a station just in front of the centre. Plans for the property include 1,270 parking spaces.

This pipeline plan will allow NEINVER to step up to the top of the outlet sector in Europe. At the end of 2016, the Group will manage nearly 400,000 sq m of outlet area and 19 sustainable and stylish premium-brand outlet centres that will consolidate it as the foremost European outlet operator

Additionally, the Group plans to develop a new centre in Werl, in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. With MAB as co-developer, Werl The Style Outlets will feature 17,000 sqm of GLA, 100 stores and 1,300 parking spaces. The project has a catchment area of 18 million people and potential customers within a 90-minute drive.

NEINVER has a solid knowledge of the German market, where it operates the largest outlet centre in the country, Zweibrücken The Style Outlets. The new Werl property will help solidify the Company’s leading position in this country.

In Spain, where the Group already leads the outlet sector, NEINVER will develop its first outlet centre in the Catalonia region, Viladecans The Style Outlets. This project is strategically located 10 minutes from Barcelona’s city centre by motorway, and 10 minutes from El Prat international airport and from the Seaport. The future outlet centre will feature top international luxury brands while offering an exceptional shopping experience and exclusive customer service.

Viladecans The Style Outlets will have a unique design completely tailored to its surroundings, with architecture based on NEINVER’s well-known strict criteria of sustainable construction and energy efficiency. The project will house 26,500 sqm of GLA, 135 units and 1,400 parking spaces.

The fourth new centre is Algarve The Style Outlets in Portugal. This is the strongest retail project in the whole Algarve region. It will have 23,500 sqm of GLA, 120 stores and 1,200 parking spaces. The complex can be reached easily by the A22 motorway and is connected with Faro International Airport, 12 km away. Moreover, the Algarve region hosts more than 6.5 million international tourists per year. Algarve The Style Outlets is NEINVER’s second development in Portugal after Vila do Conde The Style Outlets, in the Oporto region, which opened in 2004.

Three of the four projects are expected to be finished during 2016, whereas the opening of Viladecans The Style Outlets is scheduled for the end of 2015.
