Viladecans The Style Outlets, a model of sustainable construction

As part of NEINVER’s commitment to managing and developing its properties sustainably, Viladecans The Style Outlets is being planned and developed in an exemplary fashion. The achievements include a “B” energy rating for the building, thanks to proper insulation and the installation of energy-efficient systems using renewable energy sources. The measures incorporated into the building’s design included the installation of motion sensors, the selection of energy-efficient lifts and smart escalators, installation of solar panels and the use of renewable energy for the building’s operation, thus helping to reduce CO2 emissions.

Among other environmental improvements, the Viladecans The Style Outlets building will produce hot water using recycled energy from the ventilation system, and will use rainwater in the drip irrigation system. Additionally, natural light illuminates more than 80% of the centre’s floor space. The property also features other means of reducing and recycling the waste it generates.

NEINVER thus remains committed to eco-friendly construction and management as a key element of the value it adds to its property assets. Through BREEAM, NEINVER has solidified is position as the industry leader in this regard in the retail sector, becoming the first company to earn this environmental certification for its entire portfolio of managed properties that have been in operation for more than two years.
