Katowice Project, an example of urban transformation

NEINVER's unique flexibility and ability to diversify its product portfolio in response to the property market demands and local communities’ needs, have been central factors in its growth and success throughout the Company’s history. NEINVER has continuously broadened its capacities and areas of expertise, from developing big industrial facilities through office complexes to shopping centres.

Katowice Project is the result of this process and a perfect example of NEINVER's broad-ranging knowledge of property development in all its forms. As a large investment of 240 million euros, with the 200,000 sq. m total multi-use space it became NEINVER's biggest undertaking in Europe.

"Development of Katowice Project is a prestigious and unique one in Europe. A complex, located in the heart of the city and in Poland's largest urban centre, combine public and retail functions. The project not only include the city's new train and bus stations but also a major business and retail centre. Today we know that this project will change the city and significantly improve the quality of life for the residents of the region."

The project situated in Katowice, one of Poland's most important urban and industrial centres, activates the transformation and revitalisation of the whole city centre.

The redevelopment includes construction of a retail complex Galeria Katowicka with GLA of 53,000 sq. m, with space for 250 shops, a large office building and strategic remodelling of regional infrastructures such as the railway station and a brand new underground bus terminal.

The unique advantage of this project are its impressive, cutting-edge architectural solutions, which give it an innovative design and make Galeria Katowicka a ”meeting point” place for the city.

NEINVER developed this project in cooperation with PKP, the Polish State Railways, public company which provided support and local know-how about upgrading the country's rail infrastructure. This partnership shows the capacity of NEINVER teams to carry out large projects successfully.
